Social Media; be careful where you spend your time

Ok, so this top producer spends year playing on Instagram for an hour a day (I presume only 5 days a week) and closes 1 sale as a result, and his results are so great that Inman posts his story under the title "How I’m landing real estate sales with Instagram." The title is SALES, but the story documents his 1 sale. OK, so has anyone else besides me done better than 1 sale per 240 hours of telephone or door knocking prospecting? Am I missing something? Assuming he never spent more than an hour a day on it (he documents time spent researching online, paying for services, etc.).
